Voronezh Semiconductor Plant - Mikron

JSC Voronezh Semiconductor Plant - Mikron (VSP-Mikron, Voronezh) was established in 2000 based on the crystal production of scientific and production association “Elektronika”. Nowadays the enterprise is a high-tech production complex for design and mass production of crystals of power discrete components, as well as various types of digital and analogue integrated circuits for clients in Russia and abroad. Foreign economic activity is a strategic direction of VSP-Mikron development. Today over 60% of plant’s products are supplied to Germany, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Philippines and USA.

In 2002, VSP-Mikron implemented and supports a quality management system compliant with requirements of ISO 9001:2000. VSP-Mikron is one of the leading players at the Russian market in production of power components for electronic equipment (Schottky diodes, double-diffused MOS transistors, voltage regulators, RC and LC filters, bipolar HF, LF and microwave transistors, powerful high-voltage ultrafast diodes etc).

The company pays particular attention to improvement of the design and engineering base. Equipment upgrade and technical re-equipment in 2010-2011 will make it possible to increase capacities to 25,000 wafers per month, including 10,000 150-mm wafers and 15,000 100-mm wafers.

Two production lines at JSC VSP-Mikron ensure production of 23,000 wafers per month, including 18,000 100-mm wafers and 5,000 150-mm wafers. The enterprise has 900 employees in total, among them 300 engineers. Five Ph.D.’s Engineering Science work at the enterprise. Over 70% employees have specialized higher or secondary education. VSP-Mikron successfully cooperates with Voronezh higher educational institutions. The enterprise has a subdivision of the department “Semiconductor production” of the Voronezh State Technical University.
